The Tubular Bandage is used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions and surgical wounds. They are designed to quickly and painlessly co-ordinate the entire healing process. These bandsages can be used in all manner of situations where quick healing is essential. They are used in the treatment of skin grafts, severe burns, spider veins, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, sores and cuts. They can also help to prevent the onset of serious conditions, such as thrombosis.

The Tubular Bandsage: The tubular bandage is made from either natural or hydrogel material. They are usually stretchy to multiple times their original size, which makes them very convenient for wrapping all over the patient's body. The bandages resemble a second skin, offering both internal and external support to the injured skin. The bands are used in conjunction with absorbent dressings. The dressings are disposable and can be changed frequently as the need arises. They also come with an adhesive strip to be used to fasten the dressings on the surface of the wound.

The Smart Dry: The tubular bandage is an excellent choice for treatment of severely burned areas. The bandage is made from the same material as the soft tissue version and is therefore highly durable. This is especially important when using the bandage to protect the leg of someone with a severe burn. The dressing is easy to change as it requires no sewing or gluing and works well with all clothing types.

The Smart Wrap: The smart wrap is a new development of the tubular bandages. The material used is much more water resistant than that found in the tubular bandages. This makes it easier to keep the dressings on the patient for longer periods of time. However the bandages still offer the same protection and should still be changed frequently to prevent a bacterial contamination. Unlike the tubular bandages the smart wrap does not have the long term benefits of being able to be washed repeatedly but does have the short term benefit of making it easy to put on and take off the dressing.

The Compression: The compression dressings have a number of benefits including but not limited to the following. The compression bandages help with blood flow and helps reduce blood pressure in the extremities. This helps to increase circulation and oxygenation to the limb which helps to increase healing speed. Also compression can help alleviate pain and any other aches that you may be experiencing.

While these are all good reasons for using the dressings they do come with some downfalls. The first being that due to the elasticity of the material the tubular gauze dressings are more likely to break than other dressings. This breakage will happen more often with the softer bands and because of this you will need to change the dressing more often.
